The Hotel Savoia Sorrento is a charming family owned and run hotel with big hearts! It is about 3-4 blocks from the main plaza, and pedestrian areas, so a little quieter. First of all, we were welcomed right away, and were able to park our suitcases at the hotel until our room was ready (which, technically check in is at 3:00pm, but Rosemaria (the owner) said we could check in after 12:00noon). Secondly, Hotel Savoia Sorrento has an arrangement with a parking lot 2 blocks away from the hotel for you to park your car. It does cost 25.00 euros plus tax, but if you have a car it’s worth it to make arrangements with Hotel Savoia Sorrento, because parking is premium in Sorrento for your peace of mind. Next time, I wouldn’t have a car. The breakfast is great! With a buffet style of choices, an option to have an egg, or a homemade pancake (made by Rosemaria’s husband) lots of fruit, an assortment of pastries, yogurts, fruit juices, cereals, bread that makes great toast with a homemade lemon or orange marmalade! Yum! And lastly, a great cafe latte! The room was perfect size for my sister and I, as we were doing several day trips, and not in the room much except for sleeping. It did have a balcony, which was nice to look out onto the street. The room was clean, and the beds were very comfortable. If you get a chance to go to Rosemaria’s son’s restaurant, called ReFood, go! It’s a lovely restaurant that is reasonably priced! Try whatever the son recommends! Have the homemade limoncello after dinner, (made by Rosemaria!). Lastly, don’t be afraid to ask Rosemaria, her daughter, Sara, or her husband for their recommendations, or help. They have it all, even beach towels for you to use! If you go to Sorrento, Hotel Savoia Sorrento is a great place to stay!

The owners are very welcoming! The location was perfect! It is close to the train station to travel from/to Napoli, Pompeii. Everything is a walking distance: 10 minutes to the beaches and Marina Piccola, 20 minutes to Marina Grande, 5 minutes to the main square. I booked several boat tours from both Marinas started early in the morning and I was happy I could just walk there. A good breakfast with an option of fried egg or pancakes, local fruits from the garden of the owners. Breakfast is at 7:30 but I was offered to have it a bit earlier to be in time for my morning boat tours. There are no an iron and an electric kettle in the room, but I didn't have them anywhere I stayed in Italy.

Hotel Savoia was convenient to the train station. Located in a quiet neighborhood, a short walk from the center of town and its restaurants, bars, cafes and shops. The room was well designed, aesthetically pleasing and anticipated our every need. It was clean and exceptionally well maintained. I slept well, the bed was comfortable and the room was quiet, in February. Our balcony felt private and overlooked a good-sized orange orchard. There was a 1st floor 24 hour desk for check-in and out and an elevator. We are an older couple, aged 67 and 79. I’d highly recommend Hotel Savoia.

We were very impressed by the warm welcome we received on arrival and then when our host saw we had larger travel bags immediately upgraded us to a larger room at no extra charge. A very clean and well maintained hotel throughout. Parking was also immediately arranged at a reduced cost just a 2 minute walk away. Very easy access to the old town centre with a huge array of shops and eateries and the waterfront district. Ticks all the boxes for a medium term stay.

What a nice stay it was! Beautiful hotel located in a residential complex very close to the center (but since it's a small city, everything is close to the center). Nice breakfast with a variety of options, friendly personal, stylish room with a balcony and a view. Especial thank you to Rosamaria to organizing a beautiful morning surprize for my mom's birthday! It made her very happy and created a mood for the whole day <3
